Katherine Rupert MSW, RSW

Katherine received her undergraduate Honours degree in Psychology and Child Studies from the University of Guelph, Bachelor of Social Work degree from McMaster University, and Master of Social Work degree (Clinical Specialization) from the University of Calgary.   Katherine is also certified by Starr Commonwealth as an Advanced Certified Trauma and Resilience Practitioner and has completed advanced level training through the Canadian Association of Play therapy .  

As Clinical Lead of the Attachment, Consultation and Education Service at the Child and Parent Resource InstituteKatherine developed specialized expertise in the provision of evidence-based, attachment focused individual, family and group based assessments and interventions with families caring for children presenting with early relational trauma and attachment disturbances. Katherine also has clinical experience working in the fields of education, crisis support, paediatric chronic pain and health care.  

 

Certified by the Circle of Security Network as a clinical supervisor and trainer and as a COS Level II Fidelity Coach by the Circle of Security International, Katherine believes in, and honours, the innate wisdom and positive intentionality of caregivers to see, understand and respond sensitively to children's needs.
